About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Implementation Specialist, Global Trade to join our team at Thomson Reuters. As a key member of our global team, you will be responsible for implementing our ONESOURCE Global Trade solutions for multiple organizations and companies worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Design: Collaborate with clients to translate their business processes into our solutions, leading requirements sessions to ensure seamless implementation.
- Configure: Set up the system to meet the client's needs, delivering technical configuration primarily via SQL and XML.
- Test: Prepare and execute test scripts to ensure the solution meets the client's requirements.
- Training: Train the key user on our solution, ensuring they are equipped to effectively utilize the system.
- Deploy: Assist the client in production, providing hyper-care support during the transition period.
- Engage with internal teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, collaborating with Product Management, Sys Engineering, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in projects in the US and globally, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive successful implementations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A higher education degree or diploma in Supply Chain, International Business, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and XML.
- Experience with process analysis, design, and mapping.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, managing priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with remote teams.
- Ability to travel, as needed, to client sites and assist with implementations.
- Strong customer-facing experience and skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Strong desire to learn and highly self-motivated, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Possesses a professional and cooperative attitude, with a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.
- Self-starter who works well both independently and on a team, with a focus on delivering results-oriented solutions.
- Experience being managed by remote teams/offices, with a strong understanding of virtual collaboration tools and techniques.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of relative work experience in the field of global trade or a related industry.
- Exposure to areas related to our global trade solution, including import, export compliance, material classification, and more.
- Experience with solutions for global trade, such as ONESOURCE Global Trade, Integration Point, SAP GTS, Descartes, AmberRoad, E2Open, and others.
- Experience implementing enterprise software, including cloud solutions and third-party applications.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, SalesForce, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, JDE, QAD, and others.
- Experience creating and executing test cases and test scripts, with a focus on ensuring high-quality solutions.
