Global Trade Implementation Consultant

The Global Trade Implementation Consultant will be an integral part of a worldwide team executing Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Global Trade solutions for various organizations and enterprises across the globe. Our offerings encompass resources and tools for Material Classifications, Denied Party Screenings, Import and Export Management, Duty Deferral Programs, Free Trade Agreements, and more.

Key Responsibilities

In this role as a Global Trade Implementation Consultant , your responsibilities will include:

  • Design: Collaborate with clients to convert their operational processes into our solutions. Facilitate requirements gathering sessions.
  • Configure: Tailor the system to align with the client's specifications. Deliver technical configurations primarily using SQL and XML.
  • Test: Develop and execute testing scripts.
  • Training: Educate key users on utilizing our solutions effectively.
  • Deploy: Support the client during the production phase (hyper-care period) and transition to ongoing support.
  • Collaborate: Work with internal teams to provide comprehensive solutions (Product Management, Systems Engineering, etc.).
  • Participate: Engage in projects within the US and on a global scale.

Qualifications

You will be a suitable candidate if your background includes:

  • A degree or diploma in Supply Chain, International Business, or Computer Science, along with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and XML.
  • Experience in process analysis, design, and mapping.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effectiveness in collaborating with remote teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to client locations for implementation support.
  • Excellent communication abilities in engaging with management and both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Significant customer-facing experience and skills.
  • A strong desire to learn and a high level of self-motivation.
  • Capability to multitask and operate under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • A professional and cooperative demeanor.
  • A self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working under the guidance of remote teams or offices.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with aspects related to our global trade solutions (import/export compliance, material classification, etc.).
  • Experience with global trade solutions (ONESOURCE Global Trade, Integration Point, SAP GTS, Descartes, AmberRoad, E2Open, etc.).
  • Background in implementing enterprise software, including cloud solutions and third-party applications.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, JDE, QAD, etc.
  • Experience in creating and executing test cases and scripts.
