Job Summary

This role is designed to support our exceptional teams responsible for developing groundbreaking products and driving business growth. We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist located in Guadalajara, North Campus, to join our team.

This position reports directly to the Quality Manager and involves maintaining quality engineering programs, standards and improvements within the organization.

A typical day in this role might involve:

  • Approving product, process and equipment qualifications to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Developing and implementing inspection, testing and evaluation methods to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Creating sampling procedures and designing forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Directing workers responsible for measuring and testing products and tabulating data related to materials, product or process quality and reliability.
  • Compiling and writing training materials and conducting training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Evaluating the availability and integrity of all quality-related data, consolidating and reporting quality results.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, review and maintenance of quality standards for the processing of materials into partially finished products.
  • Designing and applying methods and procedures to inspect, test and evaluate the accuracy and precision of products and/or production equipment.
  • Analyzing reports and returned products and recommending corrective action.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders regarding quality-related matters.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess:

  • Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality tools, such as 5WHY, Ishikawa, hypothesis testing, SPC, 6 sigma, CP, CPK, Gage R&R, MSA and DOE.
  • Expertise in creating P-FMEA documents and design and control plans.
  • Familiarity with electronics industry concepts, including MSL, MRB, Scrap, OEE, Yield, PPMs, RMA, ESD, ECN, DFX/DFM/DFA and IPC-610, ISO9001, TUV, UL, CSA.
  • Knowledge of reliability and electrical failure analysis, strain gage, X-ray and NPIs, AQP phases and PPAP.
  • Proficiency in Minitab and strong command of English language.
