At AMETEK, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our team.

As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving processes. Your primary focus will be on coordinating the transfer of products and processes from the US to Nuevo Laredo. You will be responsible for contacting couriers to provide them with shipping information, entering data in our system, and ensuring that the correct materials are picked for the correct purchase orders.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent attention to detail and be able to multitask effectively. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry software, with experience in shipping and forklift operation being a plus.

As a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare shipping orders.
  2. Communicate with carriers for pickups.
  3. Access to the system and print pick-list for the day.
  4. Coordinate all orders scheduled to ship for the day to leave the facility on time.
  5. Pick orders from shelves, racks, or production lines.
  6. Box and palletize orders as needed.
  7. Print labels per order as required.
  8. Negotiate shipping fees with couriers.
  9. Prepare sales reports for senior management.
  10. Keep a meticulous record of shipment information.
  11. Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
  12. Keep logs and records of warehouse stock and executed orders.
  13. Communicate with clients and shippers to resolve any complaints.

Requirements:

  1. A degree in business management, logistics, or a related field.
  2. English/Spanish high proficiency in writing and verbal communication.
  3. Experience in shipping.
  4. Forklift experience.
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Flexible work hours.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.
  8. Oracle or ERP system experience preferred.
  9. Excellent time management skills.
  10. Ability to multitask.
  11. Team working skills.
  12. Able to travel.
