Key Responsibilities:

As a Proto SMT Development Technician, you will play a pivotal role in Aptiv's new project, supporting Manufacturing Engineers in various capacities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all SMT technologies and standards to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and document SMT equipment programming procedures to optimize efficiency.
  • Contribute to training documentation packages for SMT processes, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
  • Define and document preventative and necessary maintenance procedures for all SMT equipment, minimizing downtime.
  • Test and approve SMT materials, including solder paste, to ensure compliance with processes.
  • Control and manage 'Required Practices' for all SMT processes, maintaining high standards.
  • Perform Advanced Development Process (ADP) when needed, driving innovation and improvement.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OOE, CPH Metric, Utilization/Capacity, and CPP (Cost Per 1k Placements).
  • Develop and support technology roadmaps related to SMT value stream, driving business growth.
  • Lead the SMT Material Deviation Approval process, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Manage MSL Material handling and controlling tools, streamlining processes.
  • Define Critical Spare Parts List process, ensuring business continuity.
  • Perform LSR at CMA (outsourcing or suppliers), maintaining high standards.
  • Manage SMT IT-related items, ensuring effective use and maintenance.
  • Lead and maintain LSR procedure/document, driving process improvement.
  • Manage Technology reviews with AVL suppliers, driving innovation and improvement.

    Your Background:

    To succeed in this role, you will need:

    • More than 2 years of experience in electronics assembly (preferred).
    • Mechanical aptitude, ability to pick up new tasks quickly.
    • Ability to shift between tasks quickly.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Energetic, self-motivated, proactive, and customer-focused working style.
    • Business fluent English is a plus.
