Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for providing cost management services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for all design phases, taking into account materials, labor, and other project costs.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, identifying areas for cost savings and implementing measures to reduce costs.
  • Value Engineering: Participate in value engineering sessions to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Change Order Management: Prepare and analyze change orders, ensuring that they are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Budget Development: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that they are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Progress Measurement: Develop and implement progress measurement criteria with vendors, ensuring that project progress is accurately tracked.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Produce cash flow forecasts for internal and client purposes, ensuring that project cash flow is accurately managed.
  • Cost Benefit Analysis: Prepare and analyze cost benefit analyses, ensuring that project costs are optimized.
  • Project Reporting: Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders, ensuring that project progress and costs are accurately communicated.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveyor, Engineering, or Architecture.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of construction costs and project management principles.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret commercial and technical project documentation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • RICS Membership: Working towards RICS membership or recently chartered.
  • Quantity Surveying Skills: Conversant in all aspects of quantity surveying, with experience in utilizing software systems such as CostX, CATO, and BIM Measure.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Experienced in utilizing Excel at an advanced level, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets and models.
