Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team in Mexico City. This role will support the preparation of financial statements, regulatory and statutory reporting for our LatAm legal entities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills to work closely with internal and external partners from different teams and departments. As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the preparation of financial statements, regulatory and statutory reporting for our LatAm legal entities;
  • Performing balance sheet and profit & loss trend analysis;
  • Preparing work papers and reconciliations;
  • Assisting in the preparation of external and regulatory reports;

You will also have the opportunity to interact with various stakeholders across the globe, including Corporate Tax, Treasury, Revenue Accounting, External Reporting, HR, Fund Accounting, Legal & Compliance, Business Operations, and Payroll.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be able to work independently, efficiently, and effectively, with a keen awareness of due dates and a systematic approach to tasks. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the accounting and reporting processes for our LatAm legal entities;
  • Preparation of financial statements, regulatory and statutory reporting;
  • Balance sheet and profit & loss trend analysis;
  • Work paper and reconciliation preparation;
  • Assistance with special projects as needed.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 1-2 years of public accounting experience (preferably in the Big 4 or a multi-national company). You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize information and summarize key issues. Additionally, you should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of the business.

  • Experience in the preparation of internal management reports and/or financial documents;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
  • Self-starting, quick learning, great teamwork, and adaptability;
  • Well-organized, methodical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work to tight deadlines;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and authoritatively in both verbal and written form;
  • Initiative and confidence to identify potential operational improvement opportunities.
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
