Job Summary

The Billing Representative is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payment processing and invoicing for our customers. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and release high volumes of vouchers daily, meeting established error rate guidelines
  • Release payments to carriers and invoices to customers
  • Utilize problem-solving and critical thinking skills to resolve billing and open payables questions with carriers
  • Make quick decisions and sound judgments when resolving invoicing or payment issues
  • Escalate complex issues to senior team members and/or leadership
  • Work within established procedures and adhere to quality guidelines
  • Contribute ideas for process improvement
  • Develop professional relationships with internal and external customers, maintaining open lines of communication and building rapport through timely and professional service
  • Continue to develop skills and build upon knowledge of billing processes
  • Work as a member of the team and provide backup support for peers when needed

Requirements

  • Degree in Administration, Business, or Finance
  • Minimum 2 years of data entry or call center experience
  • Minimum 1 year of strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal) experience
  • English written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Programs
  • Previous experience with the Navisphere system
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive, professional attitude and excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal with conflict/sensitive topics
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to use own judgment and make decisions
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional, and deadline-driven environment
  • Effective in multitasking and prioritizing skills and time
