About the Role

At Percona, we're looking for a skilled MongoDB Database Consultant to join our team. As a MongoDB expert, you'll work on a variety of projects with clients across different industries, from startups to established companies. Your role will involve developing relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions that meet their business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of MongoDB consulting services for clients, including architecture and design reviews, performance audits, and database migrations.
  • Assess the dynamics of technology and the people managing it, and create documentation and training to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in Consulting tools, software, and standard operating procedures.
  • Contribute to the MongoDB community through blogging, webinars, and conference talks.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and share knowledge with colleagues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of MongoDB administration experience, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and tuning.
  • 3+ years of Linux administration experience, including networking, hardware, virtualization, containers, scripting, and IO subsystems.
  • 2+ years of experience in consulting roles, leading short and long-term projects.
  • Strong Shell skills and proficiency in at least one of the following languages: PHP, Java, Nodejs, Go, Python, Ruby.
  • Production-based experience with on-premise and cloud environments, including customers with database environments across multiple datacenters/regions, and managing large datasets.
  • Experience delivering presentations to technical and management/executive teams.
