Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing and Leasing Supervisor to join our team at the Consulate Guadalajara. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Housing and Leasing Unit, overseeing the development of the property portfolio, and ensuring timely execution of lease payments and building operating expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the Housing and Leasing Unit, including supervising staff and overseeing the assignment and make-ready process for the Housing Portfolio.
* Develop and implement strategies to optimize the property portfolio, including short-term lease (STL) housing units, commercial buildings, warehouses, and offices.
* Ensure compliance with contractual terms and post policy as it relates to maintenance and repair, and liaise with local government officials for all matters pertaining to local real estate law.
* Assist the General Services Officer in proposing housing assignments to the Interagency Housing Board for approval.
* Supervise and train staff, including the Realty Assistant, Housing Assistant/Lease Payments Specialist, Residential Inspector/Maintenance Coordinator, and other support staff.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 4 years of experience in an international business office setting, including direct responsibility for property management, real estate contract negotiation, real estate development, or sales, or practicing of real estate law.
* At least one year of direct supervision of staff.
* University degree in business administration, management, finance, or law.
* Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to read, write, and speak both languages fluently.
