Job Summary

Celestica Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Import/Export Associate to join our Supply Chain Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing tasks related to outbound shipments, import/export classifications, freight expense management, and carrier relationship management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of SCM business processes to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
  • Analyze traffic patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with customs and government regulations.
  • Provide support in resolving process/execution issues with internal and external customers, and develop processes to meet customer demands.
  • Lead in the rapid identification, analysis, and resolution of problems to minimize disruptions to the team's work.
  • Monitor team activities against defined objectives and propose ways to improve performance.
  • Provide data on logistics-related charges in support of bid activity and develop cost center budgets.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of traffic and logistics laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of import/export rules and regulations, compliance, and documentation requirements.
  • Basic computer applications skills and ability to learn multiple applications specific to the department.
  • Basic math, data entry, and 10-key skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and work under tight deadlines.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Zero to two years of relevant experience.
