Job Summary

As a key member of the FedEx team, the Operations Handler plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages. This position involves manual handling, sort activities, screening, and completing related administration or paperwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Package Handling and Delivery: Provides efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages, ensuring proper labeling, legality of content, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Documentation and Administration: Prepares and maintains accurate paperwork, including airway bills, delivery records, and vehicle condition reports.
  • Customer Service and Sales: Seeks additional business from current customers and passes leads to the Sales Manager as needed.
  • Station Operations and Safety: Informs Station Ops. Manager and Sales of changes in customer/competitor efforts and ensures compliance with FedEx safety policies and procedures.
  • Vehicle Operations and Maintenance: Operates company vehicles safely and securely, performs basic maintenance, and ensures the use of safety equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Middle School degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Experience operating ramp and warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
  • Skills: Basic English skills, accuracy and attention to detail, planning and organizing skills, problem-solving skills, and team working skills.
