Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Mechatronics Project Director to lead our vehicle development projects at Stellantis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful development of new vehicle projects and the maintenance and life cycle upgrades of current production programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans to meet performance, quality, timing, and cost targets.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, purchasing, and assembly plants to ensure timely deliverables and cost optimization.
  • Lead component timing, cost, weight, and investment activities for vehicle lines.
  • Manage deliverables in Stellantis systems and lead source package process.
  • Support cost loops, input technical descriptions in the Cost Service Tool, and manage cost collaboration with SCIE.
  • Lead approval process for ED&D funding and support CAD Step Reviews.
  • Lead tooling kick-off process, DREs through change management, and build activities coordination.
  • Ensure proper engineering support for problem resolution and coordinate technical issue resolution.
  • Lead program bulletin analysis and response to PR, and provide feedback and impacts from series cards audit.
  • Perform complexity analysis and reduction, and lead system effort to achieve Value Optimization.
  • Coching/mentoring of engineers and develop PC succession plan.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in automotive industry, with experience in similar position/project management.
  • Experience leading groups of product engineers directly or indirectly.
  • BS in engineering (Mechatronics, Mechanical-Electrical, Aeronautical, Automotive, Electrical/Electronics).
  • Self-directed, sense of ownership, urgency, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in communicating in technical English language, comfortable with reporting out to top management.
  • Knowledgeable in global automotive product development process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
