Intermediate HIL Tester

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Intermediate HIL Tester to join our team at Altair Engineering. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting our automated testing initiative in HiL, utilizing cutting-edge tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development and execution of automated test plans and scripts using Teststand, Veristand, and National Instruments tools.
• Perform daily regression test runs, review results, and confirm final automated results.
• Conduct thorough analysis of programs and sequences of new electric cars, identifying and resolving issues with root causes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test execution, reduce HiL test setup timing, and increase automation rates.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Cloud or Vehicle communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, IP, MQTT, LIN).
• Experience with CAN/LIN tools (Vector, Intrepid, etc.) and NI HiL tools (TestStand, VeriStand).
• Matlab/Simulink simulation experience and testing techniques.
• Agile/Scrum testing methodologies and test bench/HW SW troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of requirements management tools (Polarion, JIRA, VSEM, Doors) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Infotainment, Connectivity, or Driver information testing.
• Basic understanding of the V model process.
• Python experience and ISTQB certification.
