About the Role

At Amazon, we're committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences through our fast, accurate, and reliable operations. As an Operations Manager, Logistics and Delivery, you'll play a critical role in helping us exceed productivity goals and meet our customer promises.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Flexible Scheduling: Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays, to ensure seamless operations.
  2. Delivery Operations Management: Manage an environment concerning the delivery of Amazon orders direct to our customers, subject to ever-rising volume and complexity, operating on a 24/7 basis.
  3. Relationship Management: Manage day-to-day relationships with multiple Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) to ensure smooth operations.
  4. Operational Goal Setting: Drive operational goals and metrics for your Delivery Station, communicating the vision to your team.
  5. Performance Reporting: Present operational metrics regularly to the senior leadership team.
  6. Problem-Solving: Problem-solve for closing gaps between performance and goals.
  7. Talent Development: Hire and develop top talent, creating and implementing a talent plan for the site, including talent acquisition, performance, and career management.
  8. Business Partnerships: Work with key business partners such as Transport & Sortation, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES, and Engineering.
  9. Quality Control: Partner with the AMZL Delivery Station under the roof (UTR) management team to establish and maintain quality control standards.
  10. Process Improvement: Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
  11. Strategic Planning: Strategic planning and forecasting to appraise performance and problem resolution.
  12. Transportation Network Improvement: Create and implement improvements to our transportation network that deliver flexible and efficient products on behalf of our customers.
  13. Safety and Security: Ensure procedures are followed for safety, building security, and product loss prevention.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
  2. Experience: 5+ years of general experience.
  3. Language: English Fluency.
  4. Leadership Experience: 3+ Years as people manager.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Advanced Education: MBA or similar.
  2. Leadership Skills: Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing priorities.
  3. Development Skills: Demonstrated ability to successfully develop others into higher levels of leadership in an organization.
  4. Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding/background from Last mile operations.
