Position Overview:

Collaborate with the Program Management and Product Engineering teams to ensure that essential qualification activities are integrated into project plans and that all scheduled qualification tasks are executed effectively.

Core Qualifications:

Proficiency in environmental testing Support the Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) for assigned products. Coordinate with other HARMAN departments to ensure all qualification concerns are addressed promptly. Maintain and update reports, documentation, and test data as necessary. Assist in managing a complete project of limited scope or a segment of a larger, more complex project. Develop and prepare preliminary sketches or drawings that illustrate proposed specifications, design features, wiring diagrams, BOM (Bill of Materials), etc., and provide recommendations for consideration by management. Schedule testing activities for assigned projects, including estimating required hours and tracking actual versus estimated time, while addressing scheduling challenges as they arise. Work from detailed drawings, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, as well as verbal and written instructions. Utilize multi-meters, oscilloscopes, analyzers, digital analysis tools, machine tools, soldering equipment, and computers to design and document test setups. Responsible for performing additional tasks as business needs dictate or as assigned by management. Coordinate with external testing laboratories for outsourced testing services.

Preferred Qualifications:

Integrity. Innovation. Inclusion. Teamwork & Respect. Excellence. Minimum BSEE degree required (i.e., Mechanical, Electrical, or Applied Sciences). 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience. Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and resolve issues efficiently. Familiarity with specific laboratory equipment, including data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, digital analysis tools, machine tools, soldering equipment, and computers for designing and documenting test apparatus. Proven capability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a small team of technicians to complete projects. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Eligibility Requirements:

Prior experience with audio components: speakers, amplifiers, head units, etc., including knowledge of their design, functionality, and interactions. Experience with programming languages: C/C++, LabView/LabWindows, etc. Understanding of problem-solving techniques. Previous experience working with a team of technicians. Knowledge of quality systems (i.e., TS16949 and ISO17025).
