About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead our technology team in Mexico City. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for building and leading a team of software engineers who focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 50-70 software engineers and provide guidance on software delivery experience, cloud governance, and well-managed activities.
  • Develop and execute a strategy to drive innovation, cutting-edge technologies, and out-of-the-box thinking in software engineering.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Card Product, Card Technology, and Enterprise stakeholders to drive critical projects forward and provide technology thought leadership.
  • Recruit and hire top engineering talent and work with product owners to articulate benefits of proposed solutions and influence the technical roadmap.
  • Provide technical guidance to software engineers and product partners on software delivery experience, cloud, and risk engineering.
  • Lead efforts to deploy new and existing applications into AWS environments and support continuous improvements processes.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in a technical role, including data and software engineering.
  • 5+ years of executive technology leadership experience and 5+ years of experience driving architecture and engineering excellence at enterprise scale.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with public cloud technologies and a strong understanding of cloud architecture, cloud computing, data technologies, DevOps technologies, open-source integrations, and software design architectural patterns.
