Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $65,000 and $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Director to join our team at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Villahermosa Tabasco location in Mexico. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing all engineering/maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds, and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security, and asset protection.

Key Responsibilities:

• ">
• Manage the physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.">
• Ensure regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards.">
• Develop specifications and requirements for service contracts and administer such contracts to support building needs.">
• Distribute preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitor timeliness and quality of completion.">
• Oversee and direct the maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public space, restaurants, property vehicles, and recreational facilities.">
• Develop a long-term plan for preventative maintenance and asset protection and oversee execution of plan.">
• Contact contractors for bids and supervise construction to ensure timely completion of projects within budgetary guidelines.">
• Builts positive relationships with external customers, such as city building/zoning department, fire prevention bureau, and vendors.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A high school diploma or GED, plus 4 years of experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area, or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major, plus 2 years of experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area.">
• Technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.">
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.">
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.">
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.">
• Basic math skills and ability to read blueprints and diagrams.">
