Job Summary

Expeditors International seeks a skilled Senior Credit Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in our company's success by providing data-backed recommendations for new and existing customer accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience in risk assessment, credit limit approval, and change proposals. You will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and reviewing financial statements, as well as learning internal systems and applying company policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis of public and private companies, including review of financial statements, credit reports, and other available resources.
  • Evaluate credit worthiness of prospective and existing customers based on financial data, industry trends, and economic conditions.
  • Monitor and recommend changes to risk ratings and credit limits based on multiple factors, including payment trends, business types, terms, and conditions.
  • Prepare professional and technical emails to effectively communicate risk concerns to various stakeholders globally.
  • Approve Journal Entries within company policies with accuracy.
  • Create and update internal processes and procedures, suggesting improvements and efficiencies.
  • Prepare and document individual customer summaries, including internal approvals and legal contracts.
  • Prepare internal documents, including Non-Disclosure Agreements and Letters of Guarantee.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance and 5 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated a high level of self-motivation and initiative with an ability to work independently or with others with minimal day-to-day supervision.
  • Ability to exhibit good judgment and deal with a variety of abstract concepts.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and reliable in the production of work.
  • Ability to problem solve, work in high volume environment, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints in a professional manner.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize daily workflow.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal and financial documents.
  • Aptitude for learning new software applications.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Must be currently eligible to work in Mexico.
