Role Overview:
The Accountant position is crucial for monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of the Company and its Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Controller with various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, billing, and sales tax reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of construction contracts, overseeing project progress from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Project Executives on all aspects of project accounting and administrative matters.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Work together to enhance accounting policies and reporting practices.
  • Partner with the Controller to standardize financial operating policies and procedures, documenting and implementing them as needed.
  • Help manage construction-related general ledger accounts, fixed assets, income statements, and essential balance sheet components, including reconciliations, while establishing appropriate controls and processes.
  • Assist in administering Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIP) and Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in the industry, with a focus on construction accounting.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, risk identification, and compliance assurance.
  • Technical expertise with experience in collaborating with IT to develop automation solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, capable of multitasking, problem-solving, and managing a complex workload while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Experience with QuickBooks is advantageous.
