Job Summary

Celestica is seeking a highly skilled Materials Program Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain Management department, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the procurement and logistics of materials and supplies to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with cross-functional teams, including Business Office, Production, Procurement, and Planning to develop and implement production and shipment plans that align with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in their design and implementation.
  • Participate in Master Planning review and procurement actions from the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process.
  • Coordinate with Planning to assess customer requirements and feasibility, and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Support new product introductions and negotiate with customers on materials management-related activities.
  • Provide customers with technology information, supplier capabilities, and market trends to support SCM activities.
  • Review and assess SCM's ability to meet contract requirements and negotiate terms and conditions with customers.
  • Partner with Business Office to negotiate terms and conditions related to SCM activities with customers.
  • Identify Celestica's SCM new product process requirements and ensure effective communication with customers.
  • Coordinate Bill of Material analysis and review content, lead time constraints, critical parts supply, and component reliability issues.
  • Ensure alternate source capability to maintain supply continuity and verify customer costs can be supported.
  • Manage customer relationships from a Supply Chain perspective and obtain and disseminate customer SCM feedback to the team.
Requirements
  • In-depth understanding of global supply chain management, Celestica's strategic policies and objectives, and its suppliers and customers.
  • Good understanding of specific customers' business, organization, products, and processes.
  • Fundamentals of financial product cost structures and asset management techniques.
  • Good formal presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate SCM-related activities to customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to analyze and judge performance against key measures and determine priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface cross-functionally to gather required customer information.
  • Develop a wide personal network of contacts, internally and externally.
  • Adopt a proactive approach to running their part of the business.
Physical Demands

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Experience

Three to six years of relevant experience.

Typical Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational requirements may vary by geography.
