Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytics Data Engineer to join our team at Hewlett Packard. This role will involve designing, building, and operating high-performance BI-centric solutions using the company's analytics platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams of data engineers for all stages of design and development of complex data solutions and models, including analysis, coding, testing, and integration of structured/unstructured data.
  • Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with architecture, security, and quality guidelines and standards; provide feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the big data space.
  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline/ETL architecture.
  • Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources using MS SQL/SSIS and Big Data technologies.
  • Develop technical solutions in MS SQL and cloud-based technologies ensuring they are designed and built to be sustainable and robust.
  • Perform data modeling and prepare data in databases for use in various analytics tools and configure and develop data pipelines to move and optimize data assets.
  • Provide necessary technical support through all phases of solution lifecycle.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Typical 6-10 years' experience.
  • Must have: SQL Programming, ETL (SSIS/Azure Data Factory/AWS Glue), Data Warehouse, Database Architecture, Analytical knowledge, Problem Solving, AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Nice to have: Databricks, Github, Jira Confluence, Big Data technologies, Airflow, Spark, Kafka.

Salary & Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on location and experience. The position also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.

Location

This role can be based in any Hewlett Packard location worldwide, although some travel may be required. Candidates must be willing to relocate to a designated HP location.
