Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Metrology Supervisor to oversee the activities of metrology personnel and ensure that products meet required specifications. The successful candidate will maintain ISO 17025 accreditation, define and implement calibration methods, and apply uncertainty calculations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise metrology technicians and assigned personnel to ensure compliance with OEM specifications and customer requirements.
- Organize metrology resources to support on-time delivery and turn-around time goals.
- Coordinate and maintain metrology personnel competence and the use and recall of inspection gages.
- Drive the continuous improvement of company calibration methods and procedures.
- Maintain ISO 17025 accreditation by following Perry Johnson policies and applicable reference standards.
Requirements
- Programming skills and ability to set up instrumentation equipment.
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 and applicable inspection instruments reference standards.
- Experience in blueprint reading and GD&T according to ASME Y14.5.
- Knowledge of human relationships at work, trouble solutions, and drawings interpretation.
- Experience in CMM programming.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, instrumentation, and control, or a related field.
- Five (5) years' experience and/or a combination of experience in calibration and quality areas.
