We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Process Engineer to support supply chain development in New Product Introduction at Schneider Electric Global.
About the RoleThis position is based in Mexico City and reports to the Schneider Electric Energy Management Business Unit as part of the Secure Power Division. As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be accountable for industrializing new assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional team members, including designers and engineers, to optimize part design for Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Conduct Design for Assembly (DFA) risk study and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to assess critical characteristics and develop mitigation plans.
- Document technical and generic specifications of assembly process designs, including line layouts, station layouts, information management, capacity, and workload balancing.
- Prepare an assembly value add target cost estimate and utilize it to optimize total cost and Industrial strategy decision.
- Maintain current knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment technologies and analyze their applicability for use in production departments and the manufacturing facility.
- Utilize continuous improvement methodology to improve internal industrial processes.
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
- At least 3 years' experience in similar assembly and production environment.
- Lean Expert certification or demonstrated competence in Lean Manufacturing (5s, Kanban, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement) strongly preferred.
Schneider Electric offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as flexible work arrangements, paid family leave, and a culture of wellness.
