Job Summary:

FedEx Express México is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operations Handler to join our team. As an Operations Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that packages are properly labeled, weighed, and wrapped, and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe and secure manner, and perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning, washing, and checking tire pressure.
  • Load and unload company aircraft and vehicles in a safe manner, and audit the size and weight of packages and boxes to ensure accurate sorting.
  • Ensure compliance with FedEx safety policies, procedures, norms, rules, and practices, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to identify opportunities for additional business with current customers, and pass leads to the Sales Manager as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with Station Ops. Manager and Sales to inform them of changes in customer or competitor efforts.

Requirements:

  • Middle School degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Basic English Skills.
  • Minimum Experience: Experience operating ramp and warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
  • Must be able to work variable shifts.
  • General vehicle maintenance a plus and power and hand tools experience preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully complete Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and Math sections of the Basic Skills Test.
