About the Role

DMTC Technology Services, S. de. R.L. de C.V. is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Buyer to join our team in the metal-fabrication category. As a Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process and supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective sourcing and timely delivery of high-quality metal-fabricated components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure direct materials for metal fabrication, machining, and aluminum categories using an electronic bidding tool.
  • Prepare business cases and total cost ownership files to support commercial decisions.
  • Identify and drive cost reduction initiatives through price and volume negotiations, new supplier development, and process improvements.
  • Formulate procurement strategies and plans, and execute multifunctional projects.
  • Perform risk analysis and identification under the supply base, with action plans to mitigate risks, and communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Support the category lead in identifying, researching, evaluating, and selecting suppliers.
  • Support the category lead in negotiating master supplier agreements, capital expenditures, and other agreements.
  • Ensure suppliers' capacity to meet materials demand based on forecasts and needs informed by the tactical team.
  • Report results of established key performance indicators (OTD, price variation, savings) to procurement leadership.
  • Perform quarterly business reviews with key suppliers, manage suppliers' relationships, and set all parameters in SAP to place purchase orders and set agreements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • +3 years of experience in direct procurement/commodities executing sourcing activities (sourcing 5 steps methodology, RFQs, TCOs).
  • Proficient in English.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems.
  • APICS certification in CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD.
  • Understanding and interpretation of CAD drawings.
  • Commodities indexation.
  • Sourcing 5 steps.
