Job Title: Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Summary:

The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead the development and implementation of process improvements across the organization, focusing on front-end processes, manufacturing processes, and technology advancements. This role will drive the adoption of visual management and daily management (SQDCI) within teams, ensuring accountability and compliance to the Columbus McKinnon Business System (CMBS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive strategic deployment actions across the group, leveraging engagement, leadership, break-through mapping, performance monitoring, data-driven problem-solving, and sustainability.
  • Lead continuous improvement across the business by executing and sustaining compliance to the CMBS.
  • Ensure adherence and execution of SQDCI daily management and coach employees to action and problem-solve abnormalities.
  • Direct responsibility for all continuous improvement activities, including Daily Management, Kaizen, 5S, and Visual Management, VSM, TPM, SMED, RCCM, and footprint strategies.
  • Evaluate needs for manufacturing technology and facility equipment enhancement, justifying and executing capital improvement projects.
  • Plant co-champion for New Product Introduction.
  • Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to CI tools, product quality, and reliability.
Requirements:
  • Proven ability to drive results and improve efficiencies.
  • Experience coaching/mentoring, with a desire to develop skills in this area.
  • Proven experience in change management and demonstrated ability to challenge an organization.
  • Highly effective relationship management skills, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all functions.
  • Data-driven with strong analytic skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, including the ability to identify creative and effective solutions.
  • Effective communicator within environments ranging from shop floor kaizen teams to operations leadership stakeholder groups, to business group staff, and senior leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in lean deployment and/or implementation.
