About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Objects Administrator to join our team at Warner Bros. Discovery. As a key member of our Business Intelligence team, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our Tier 1 Business Objects global platform.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain BO architecture documentation, administration, upgrade, and patching support.
  2. Enforce consistent policies for design and development of system connectivity and architecture, universes, and reports for new and existing tenant applications integrating into the shared global BO environment.
  3. Promote reports/universes/users along with security settings from lower to higher-level environments following Change Management processes.
  4. Implement security by creating user groups, granting access to BO based applications to users and adding security restrictions (application level, folder level, and object level) based on user profile and user groups.
  5. Create access levels (Developer, Reporter, Viewer, etc.) based on project and business needs.
  6. Track, troubleshoot, analysis, and resolution of End User incidents and tickets; resolves customer issues within the service level agreements.
  7. Participate in and contribute to the implementation of best industry practices.
  8. Build custom WEBI and Crystal reports on demand basis.
Requirements
  1. Three (3) or more years in BO Administration of Business Objects Business Intelligence Platform to include the latest 4.3 software version.
  2. Two (2) or more years total experience supporting enterprise-class applications in a significant engineering or administrative role.
  3. Two (2) or more years of experience in designing & building WEBI and Crystal reports in a Business Objects environment.
  4. Experience with integrating BO with multiple SAP-based platforms (ECC; BW; CRM; S/4 HANA; BW/4 HANA; SCM; GRC; Fiori and SAP Portal; etc)
  5. Experience with Oracle, DB2 and other enterprise-level databases.
  6. Experience in BO Universe and report design.
  7. Experience with application integrations utilizing the BO SDK.
  8. Strong communication and collaboration skills with a track record of taking solution ownership.
  9. Strong interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal to include translating complex technical issues clearly and precisely to both technical and non-technical parties.
  10. The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  11. Strong analytical and technical communication skills.
  12. Understanding SAP applications and their functionalities is an added advantage.
  13. Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel—in person, via email, and over conference calls and/or telephone.
  14. Must be able to pay close attention to complex detail and understand written and oral instructions.
  15. Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively.
  16. Must be able to work well under time constraints.
  17. Willingness to learn new technologies at an accelerated pace.
  18. Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.
  19. Must be service-oriented.
  20. Must be able to work independently with a high degree of self-motivation, commitment, and integrity.
  21. Must be able to work flexible hours, including possible overtime, when necessary.
  22. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Understanding of BW data loads using process chains.
  2. Working knowledge of BW backend building blocks, including info-providers, transformation, and data transfer process.
  3. Support experience with Bex queries and AO workbooks Knowledge of information broadcasting and reports bursting is a plus.
  4. First-level support for BI reporting (Bex/AO workbooks) experience, such as the concept of hierarchy, filter, and slice and dice of the reports to derive the desired result for business need.
  5. Experience with BO-AWS Cloud-based connectivity and integration points.
  6. Experience with Linux or other UNIX variants such as IBM AIX.
  7. Corporate Information Security certification.
  8. SAP BO Administrator and/other certifications.
  9. Knowledge of Entertainment Industry and business applications is an added advantage.
  10. Experience with AWS.
  11. Oral/Written fluency in Other Non-English languages.
