About the Role

The Senior Quality Assurance Director will be instrumental in building and leading the quality assurance function from the ground up at Meteor. This hands-on leadership role is crucial to ensure high standards of quality across all software products. As Senior Quality Assurance Director, you will design and implement comprehensive quality assurance processes, develop testing strategies, and establish a structured QA organization. In this role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to organize and oversee all testing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and lead the QA team, including hiring, mentoring, and training QA engineers.
• Define and implement comprehensive QA processes and strategies for both manual and automated testing.
• Develop, manage, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test suites to ensure complete coverage of all features and functionality.
• Oversee manual and automated testing activities, ensuring timely and thorough execution of test plans.
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and engineering teams to understand requirements and plan testing efforts.
• Utilize tools like Azure Test Plans (or similar) for test case management, tracking, and reporting.
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring effective resolution and retesting.
• Continuously improve the QA process to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall product quality.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a minimum of 2 years in a lead or management role.
• Strong expertise in both manual and automation testing practices.
• Proven experience organizing and managing test plans, test cases, and test suites.
• Proficiency with test management tools (experience with Azure Test Plans is a plus).
• Solid understanding of modern automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or Microsoft Playwright).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have own computer (relevant software and subscriptions provided).
• Excellent English verbal and written language proficiency (C1-C2 in CEFR Scale).
• Access to a quiet work area at home with reliable internet (50 Mbps or more).

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of USD $4,000 - 6,000 depending on experience and location. The role type is Full-time Contractor, and the schedule is Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Additionally, we provide a flexible remote work arrangement, allowing you to work from anywhere in Latin America.
