We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Build Engineer to join our team at Autoliv. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful launch of new equipment and projects, as well as providing operational support to our suppliers and assembly plants.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the successful execution of Buy Off 1 to 4 projects on time.
- Delivering spare parts, manuals, MSA, and torque studies on time.
- Implementing a Zero Defects Philosophy and achieving First Time Quality.
- Ensuring timely delivery of projects.
- Providing quotes for new launches as part of the Q5 Initiative.
- Ensuring 100% customer run at rate and 100% pre-run at rates.
- Implementing Policy Deployment actions on time and ensuring they are green.
- Designing and recommending optimum process flows based on specific exploded views of SW design.
- Providing accurate cost and cycle time estimates for each process step in the assembly process of SW.
- Identifying the equipment needed for each new launch.
- Delivering equipment specifications, MES, and design guidelines for quoting purposes.
- Developing good working relationships with local equipment suppliers and managing the cost and timing of equipment build and/or retrofit.
- Working closely with the design center to provide inputs into the design of SW to ensure manufacturability of all coming new products.
- Supporting in CFT Meetings and reviewing and closing actions generated during events on time.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- APQP basic knowledge.
- Experience with introducing new products.
- Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
- Knowledge of balancing production lines.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Ability to create and interpret capacity analysis.
- Knowledge of SMED concepts, Poke yokes, Yokoten, TPM, and Kaizen.
- Knowledge of equipment pricing.
- Preferable handling of L2L software.
- Management of PDM/PLM software preferred.
- Knowledge of processes similar to machinery validation.
