We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Lead to join our team at Altumti. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design process for one or more products across the entire product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of product designers and oversee the design process to ensure high-quality, user-centric, and accessible designs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align on the user experience vision and ensure a cohesive design across the product portfolio.
- Manage and mentor the design team, providing guidance, feedback, and support for their professional development.
- Establish and uphold design standards, best practices, processes, and guidelines to ensure consistency and excellence in design.
- Conduct user research, gather insights, and advocate for user needs throughout the design process.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, manage expectations, and ensure alignment on design objectives and priorities.
- Evaluate design feasibility, optimize designs, and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Design Manager or senior Product Designer, leading and mentoring design teams.
- Deep understanding of design principles, processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Expertise in inclusive, accessible, and user-centric design practices.
- Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, and prototyping software.
- Analytical mindset and ability to make data-driven design decisions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with 3+ years in a managerial role.
