We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to lead our team in Tijuana, Mexico. As a leading scientific research and innovation company, we value integrity, intensity, innovation, and involvement, and work collaboratively to accelerate research and drive technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Standups, Grooming, Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospectives.
  • Coach the team in Agile practices and guide them in self-organization and cross-functionality.
  • Assist the team in removing impediments and resolving conflicts to maintain flawless project execution.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer (KT) sessions and coach new team members on Scrum and SAFe methodologies.
  • Navigate through conflicts and manage external and internal disputes effectively.

Production Release Management:

  • Create RFCs and related artifacts for production releases.
  • Communicate and coordinate with dependent teams for required support.
  • Manage production release calls and ensure all SOP activities are completed.
  • Maintain oversight of INC tickets assigned to the team and follow up with requesters for confirmation once issues are resolved.
  • Manage xMatter schedules to ensure efficient release management.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously work on process improvements to optimize team performance.
  • Encourage experimentation and learning to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of Scrum processes and implement necessary adjustments to ensure world-class project delivery.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Represent the team in various meetings and calls, such as SOS, ART Sync, Joint ART Sync calls, major release calls, and defect triage calls.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration within the team and across the organization.
  • Ensure clear and transparent communication of project goals, priorities, and progress.
  • Work closely with various teams and individuals to ensure efficient collaboration and meet project goals.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience leading Scrum teams.
  • Extensive experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading Scrum teams.
  • In-depth understanding of software development processes and lifecycle.

Certifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Advanced Scrum Master certifications (e.g., A-CSM, CSP-SM).
  • Other Agile certifications like PMI-ACP or SAFe are beneficial.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide and inspire the team.
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills to foster collaboration and effective communication.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to address challenges and maintain a positive team dynamic.
  • Ability to influence and bring about positive transformations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in conflict management and helping teams navigate through conflicts to ensure smooth project execution.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with Agile tools and software, such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Understanding of the technical aspects of software development is a plus.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
