We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Import Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Gates Corporation. As an Import Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the importation of materials and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the importation of materials from various countries, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and laws.
  • Manage inventory at the forwarding agent warehouse, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Responsible for customs tariff management, ensuring accurate calculations and compliance.
  • Manage materials inventory at the forwarding agent warehouse, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure customs compliance and T-MEC operations, including monitoring freight costs and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Report freight costs to Mexican customs and calculate import duties and expenses.
  • Endorse BLs for export and send paperwork to forwarding agents for import/export materials.
  • Responsible for operations at customs, including Laredo, Eagle Pass, Mexico City Airport, and Monterrey Airport.
  • Review forwarding agent bills to confirm accurate fees and expenses.

About You:

  • 2-4 years of progressive experience in a similar position.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Internal Business Trade preferred.
  • 80% proficiency in English (able to communicate effectively).
  • Ability to maintain self-control in high-pressure situations.
  • Detailed-oriented with a focus on meeting aggressive timelines.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel) and Oracle.
