Amazon Vendor Manager

The Vendor Manager position is a key role within Amazon's Mexico operations, responsible for driving business growth and profitability through effective vendor management and strategic planning.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the business owner for assigned categories, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact business performance.
- Monitor competitor and industry developments, and continually adapt strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
- Maximize Amazon's business profitability and selection expansion opportunities through effective vendor negotiations and pricing strategies.
- Advocate for customer needs and drive delivery of site features that provide an unparalleled shopping experience.
- Manage vendor relationships, including supplier/partner contracts, day-to-day relationships, and marketing funds negotiation.
- Create business plans for new opportunities and develop project plans for the launch of new features, incorporating merchandising and pricing strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, meeting tight deadlines.
- Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets.

Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of experience with Excel.
- 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting experience with negotiations and delivering results.
- Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies required.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing data to drive performance and process improvements.
- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development.
- Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.
