About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to join our team at Apple Leisure Group. As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for leading the México Payroll & Benefits process within our organization, ensuring the proper payroll and benefits delivery, supporting process improvement activities with 2 Payroll Vendors (TMF-SIM) and standardized processes supporting ~ approx employees & 10 Legal Entities in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and operate the End-to-End (E2E) payroll process for Mexico.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls (SOX) and local authorities in countries in scope.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on local payroll requirements and related Tax and Social Security matters.
  • Liaise with Payroll providers (TMF-SIM) and other local resources as needed to address questions/issues in this area.
  • Manage Payroll team supporting Mexico under the Specialist ́s responsibility, ensuring effective recruiting of qualified payroll professionals.
  • Coordinate delivery and setup operational calendars to Finance, Fiscal and operational deliverables.
  • Monitor the correct implementation of Payroll and C&B practices and policies.
  • Identify, track, and solve operational issues and improvement opportunities within the Area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in Mexico Payroll & Benefits or HR Operations with a broad understanding of payroll operational activities (Tax-Labor-Social Security) IMSS, FONACOT-INFONAVIT-ISR.
  • Knowledge of México labor law and Workers Contract agreements.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft 365 Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Intermediate English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building and maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
