About Our Team:
The Data Management Center of Excellence (CoE) is a vital component of the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) CAE organization, serving as a unifying theme across all CAE domains related to AI, Data Science, and data management technologies. Our mission is to create reliable and efficient data foundations by leveraging top-tier AI, database, and data management capabilities for ECS. This team collaborates across all ECS CAE areas, offering expertise in operational excellence, analytics, insights, and automation-driven intelligent data operations.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned SAP HANA professional with a strong emphasis on database and data management disciplines. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of SAP HANA best practices, cloud service engineering methodologies, transformation, and innovation services, along with a robust background in managing technical and functional end-to-end data environments. The selected individual will provide both functional and technical expertise across various technologies and business sectors.
Key responsibilities will encompass supporting proof of concepts (POCs), architectural design, migrations, upgrades, automation, performance tuning, on-demand expertise, and enhancing existing processes through automation and AI/ML.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with over 10 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive experience with SAP HANA internals and database management, including monitoring and maintenance tasks such as patching and upgrades.
- Proficient in HANA performance tuning, root cause analysis, system replication, scale-out systems, and various extension options like Native Storage Extension and dynamic tiering.
- Solid understanding of SAP Business continuity and resiliency topics.
- Proficient in SAP HANA SQL Script and one or more programming languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and integrating Cloud Services into the solutions portfolio.
- Strong architectural knowledge of SAP to accurately address customer needs and solutions.
- Familiarity with enterprise applications, preferably SAP S/4HANA or SAP BW/4HANA.
- Proven track record of successfully driving critical projects to completion.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical and functional incidents related to SAP applications.
- Hands-on experience with hyperscalers, particularly Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Integration experience in areas such as SAP Data Intelligence and SAP Cloud Platform Integration.
- A growth mindset with a commitment to staying current with product and industry advancements.
- Ability to assist with customer escalations to troubleshoot and resolve incidents promptly.
- Strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities, capable of bridging technology and business objectives to deliver productive solutions.
- Willingness to continuously learn and enhance skills to maximize contributions to a dynamic organization.
- Support in defining, implementing, and documenting processes for new solutions and services.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in SAP solutions, including:
- S/4HANA or SAP BW/4HANA.
- SAP HANA Scale-up and Scale-out solutions.
- SAP HANA Security experience.
- Strong technical and solution architecting skills.
- Preferred scripting and programming skills.
- Over 5 years of broad experience in processes, portfolio, solution/service design, and onboarding within a leading Managed Cloud Services organization.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Architect-level certification with one or more hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Functional expertise in application components such as Master Data Management and Information Lifecycle Management.
- Knowledge of storage architectures and SAN technologies.
- Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud and other SAP SaaS solutions.
- Understanding of RISE with SAP offerings.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications in existing processes.
