About the Role

This role is a part of the Global Direct Strategic Sourcing Organization within our Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) business function. As a Commodity Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and drive the overall strategy for sourcing and procurement across a given set of commodities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Business Unit Teams, Materials, and Logistics, to develop and refine the sourcing strategy for assigned commodities and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the sourcing strategy for assigned commodities, using input from the sourcing team and key global/regional stakeholders within the business units.
  • Develop and refine the sourcing strategy, with guidance from the Strategic Sourcing Managers and Director, to drive the continuous improvement of Rockwell's Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the assigned commodities.
  • Communicate, monitor, and aggressively manage business unit compliance with the strategy.
  • Manage and influence a cross-functional team to achieve business goals and address barriers to change.
  • Remain current on supply market trends, supplier economics, and best practice sourcing.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance (quality, delivery, service levels) of all suppliers.
  • Conduct regular strategic business reviews with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of the supply base.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Advanced English level.
  • +5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or sourcing.
  • Basic knowledge of commodities.
