About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled **Manufacturing Process Optimization Engineer** to join our team at Copeland. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing activities related to the design and optimization of our manufacturing processes.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Support Manufacturing Team to Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure that safety, sales, productivity, and cost targets are met.
  2. Define and Implement Improvement Projects: Develop and implement multiple improvement projects for the valve area, focusing on process optimization and efficiency.
  3. Analyze Problems and Propose Solutions: Analyze problems, propose solutions, and provide written instructions when a deviation or modification of a process, material, or specification is required.
  4. Ensure Compliance with Quality Management System: Ensure compliance with procedures, standards, and specifications established in the quality management system and by the EHS department related to your position.
  5. Develop Improvement Projects: Develop improvement projects to make processes and/or products more efficient, as well as reduce waste and costs.
  6. Hold Information Meetings: Hold information meetings on the status of the department, projects, and future plans.

Requirements
  1. Proven Experience in Manufacturing Processes: Proven experience in manual and automated manufacturing processes or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related.
  2. Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  3. Strong Problem-Solving Capability: Strong problem-solving capability.
  4. Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Interpersonal Skills and Communication: Interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal skills to facilitate effective communication of technical ideas.
  6. Management of Priorities: Management of priorities based on verifiable data (data-driven).
  7. Customer-Focused Approach: Customer-focused approach (internal and external).
  8. Results-Oriented: Excellent analytical skills and oriented to results achievement.
  9. Efficient Work Practices: Ensure that all work aligns with Company procedures and standards and is carried out efficiently within agreed timescales.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience in Continuous Improvement Projects: Experience in Continuous Improvement Projects (Kaizen).
  2. Problem-Solving Tools: High experience in the use of problem-solving tools (Pareto analysis, Why's, Sigma, As).
  3. Complex Assembly Experience: Experience with high complexity assembly (+ items per line).
  4. Calibration Experience: Proven experience in calibration of control valve instrumentation (using HART devices is helpful).
  5. ISO Certification Knowledge: Knowledge of the requirements and foundations of the ISO certification.
  6. Safety and Ergonomics Knowledge: Basic knowledge of Safety, Ergonomics, and accident prevention concepts.
  7. Process Route Knowledge: Knowledge of elaboration of process routes and costing by standards.
  8. One-Piece Flow Experience: Experience in design and implementation of one-piece continuous flow processes.
  9. System Design Experience: Relevant industry experience with a proven track record of handling system design, implementation, and factory/site acceptance test phases of projects (process automation, systems, and instrumentation).
  10. Software Experience: Experience using software/applications (Oracle, MS office, Solid Edge, Project).
