Rhian_Convatec is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering and Facilities to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the engineering and facilities department, including the Project Manager, Facilities Manager, and EHS Manager. You will oversee all aspects of capital project development, cost-saving project implementation, new product introduction projects, compliance projects, and infrastructure and utilities maintenance projects.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in engineering and facilities management, with experience in managing teams, planning, designing, constructing, and managing contracts and budgets. You will serve as a resource for other departments by providing estimates, preliminary planning, inspection services, facility information, problem-solving, and technical advice. The successful candidate will also develop, improve, and review departmental policies and procedures to support operational philosophies and systems within their area of responsibility.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, construct, and manage contracts and budgets for engineering and facilities projects.
- Define and scope projects, schedules, and estimates cost, develop conceptual designs and project documentation, select consultants, oversee the design process, manage construction contracts, and ensure project closure.
- Serve as a resource for other departments by providing estimates, preliminary planning, inspection services, facility information, problem-solving, and technical advice.
