About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Cloud Operations Specialist. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud IT operations and support, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects and driving innovation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of cloud native tools, including patching, monitoring, backups, and ITIL principles. They will also have experience working with managed service provider models and be able to effectively lead efforts and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include defining hosting strategies, deploying world-class technology, and coordinating operational metrics. The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying trends, assessing opportunities, and providing transparency to the team and partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define hosting strategies and solutions leveraging enterprise and cloud environments
  • Deploy world-class technology and streamlined processes to enhance the global commercial Digital Technology environment
  • Coordinate and report operational metrics on a recurring basis
  • Identify trends and assess opportunities to improve processes and execution
  • Raise and track issues and conflicts, remove barriers, and resolve issues of medium complexity
  • Assess a variety of situations and provide transparency to the team and partners
  • Establish and maintain credible, professional relationships with clients, internal delivery partners, and external vendors
  • Solicit and respond to feedback while gaining dedication and support
  • Identify training requirements and devise training programs to ensure operational readiness
  • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, trends, and technology
  • Coordinate with management to ensure all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the team are being carried out in accordance with regulatory standard methodologies
Experience/Qualifications:
  • Proficient and fluent conversational English level
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud IT operations & support, demonstrating analytical thinking and innovation
  • Technical skills required: AWS Cloud Compute, Networking, Access Management, Storage
  • Cloud native tools experience around patching, monitoring, backups, is a must
  • Strong working knowledge of ITIL principles and ITSM
  • Experience working with managed service provider models
  • Highly-motivated, self-directed, and able to effectively lead efforts including the delivery of complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrates leadership and collaboration skills, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and demonstrates ability to perform root cause analyses
