Job Summary:
Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to join our Fulfillment Center team. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees and driving business objectives to meet and exceed our business plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Lead a team of employees and provide guidance and support to ensure they have the resources and tools needed to succeed.
- Performance Metrics and Process Improvement: Develop and implement plans to improve performance metrics and processes, and ensure that best practices are shared across departments.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with support staff, including HR, Financial, and Facilities Managers, to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Identify and address operational and personnel issues affecting the functional area, and provide solutions to Sr. Ops, General Manager, and/or HR.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years of employee and performance management experience, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in performance metrics, process improvement, and lean techniques.
- Education: MBA from IIM/XLRI, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience.
- Skills: Proficiency in Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques, with strong data analysis skills.
