Purpose and Scope

Plexus is seeking a skilled Electronics Failure Analyst to provide initial assessment of root cause failure analysis of electronic components and related devices on a physical level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sample preparation and initial assessment of defective electronic, electrical, and mechanical parts.
  • Write detailed reports to summarize findings using Microsoft Word or Excel and convert to PDF as required.
  • Establish standard assessment practices and create documentation.
  • Maintain laboratory and related equipment.
  • Route issues for further analysis to the FA Lead Engineer.
Additional Accountabilities
  • Assist in the assessment and management of third-party laboratory services.
  • Support the generation of FA reports.
  • Minimal travel may be required to meet business needs.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Technical degree is required; a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering Technologies or similar Engineering is preferred.
  • 1 year of related experience is required; 1 year of industry experience is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform key job accountabilities may be considered.
Desirable Skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and written.
  • Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Assertive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proper handling/care of customer-provided sample(s).
Work Environment

The work setting should consist of a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level.
