Position Overview

This role involves the strategic planning, organization, and execution of an effective instructional program tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of students. The educator will inspire and support students in realizing their potential in both academic and extracurricular pursuits.

Key Responsibilities Design, prepare, and implement engaging instructional activities that promote active learning. Create comprehensive lesson plans. Set and communicate clear objectives for all educational activities. Organize the classroom environment for optimal learning. Provide a range of educational materials and resources to enhance learning experiences. Identify and apply various instructional strategies to cater to students at different levels of progress. Guide and supervise students in the effective use of learning materials and tools. Ensure the care and maintenance of school property. Utilize relevant technology to enhance teaching methods. Observe and assess student performance and growth. Assign and evaluate classwork, homework, tests, and projects as necessary. Offer constructive feedback on student assignments. Monitor and support individual student advancement. Provide mentorship to foster educational growth. Maintain accurate and thorough records of student progress and development. Update records in compliance with applicable laws and district policies. Prepare necessary reports regarding student performance and activities. Manage classroom behavior and uphold discipline by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. Participate in departmental, school, and district meetings and professional development opportunities as appropriate. Stay informed about the latest developments in the relevant subject area as directed by the school or district. Collaborate in the planning, execution, and assessment of the overall school program. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians. Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or designated administrator.

Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution. Certification as mandated by the state of South Carolina in Elementary Education. Additional professional and personal qualifications as deemed necessary for fulfilling assigned responsibilities. Physical Demands

While executing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Responsibilities may involve addressing students' behavioral needs.
Additional physical requirements include: Ability to frequently lift or move up to 40 pounds; Sufficient mobility to ensure student safety; Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus; Capability to sit and stand for extended periods; Manual dexterity for telephone use and data entry; Ability to read a computer screen and printed materials with or without vision aids; Ability to hear and comprehend speech at normal levels and on the telephone; and Ability to speak clearly so that others may understand in person and on the telephone.
