**Job Summary**
This position is responsible for overseeing the preventive maintenance program for the General Telecommunication Network and AEI's, ensuring all repairs of failures or temporary interruptions are made in a timely and compliant manner.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Verify task registration for equipment operation, analyzing collected data and taking corrective measures for deviations from nominal values.
- Develop and implement new technology projects, coordinating resource supply and contractor performance to maintain efficient operations.
- Understand business metrics and apply effective tactics to sustain a culture of operational excellence, producing high-performing teams.
- Identify and address rule, regulation, or policy violations through one-on-one accountability conversations and consequence leadership tools.
- Define and communicate team roles and responsibilities, holding individuals accountable for objectives and providing pinpointed feedback on performance.
- Develop and retain a strong team of high performers, creating a challenging and rewarding work environment and organizing a diverse group into a cohesive team.
- Exemplify CPKC's Vision, Values, and Culture in interactions with coworkers, business partners, customers, and stakeholders.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job-related major field of study.
- Minimum five years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Three years of advanced knowledge in electricity and electronics.
- Three years or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous CPKC experience.
**Working Conditions**
- Shift work is an essential function of this job, requiring the ability and willingness to support critically important railroad operations 24/7.
- Schedule assignments may include after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
