Product Control Analyst 2

The Financial Data Integrity Specialist is an intermediate level position responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank's financial data in coordination with the Finance team. The overall objective of this role is to control and support data integrity and general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution and new activity analysis, valuation control and financial reporting.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data
- Identify process gaps and control issues
- Escalate anomalies and issues in an efficient and timely manner
- Interpret data, identify inconsistencies through research and recommend solutions based on analysis
- Develop knowledge of how team interacts with others to accomplish Finance goals
- Develop basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
- Exchange complex information succinctly and with discretion
**Qualifications**:
0-2 years of relevant experience
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Advanced English Skills required
**Education**:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
**Responsibilities include**:
Daily Financial Analysis and reporting
- Utilize the front office risk system's Profit Attribution Analysis (PAA) to help explain the daily PnL movements for the day and ensure daily trading movements are accurate
- Preparation of market commentaries to explain significant PnL movements and events
- Reconciliation of income statement and balance sheet during month end close
- Networking with other areas of Finance to ensure policies and procedures are consistently adhered to
- Collaborating with cross functional teams, including front office, market risk, and operations to resolve open risks
- Performing analysis for ad hoc requests regarding regulatory, valuation, risk and operational concerns.
**Requirements**:
Four year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, or other related disciplines
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry or related work experience in an accounting or finance department.
- Strong understanding of Financial Analysis, Markets, and Products
- Effective written, verbal, and telephone based communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills are a must; other financial systems are a plus
