About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substitute Teacher to join our team at Inspired Education Group. As a Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in a classroom setting, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and assess lessons, adhering to the curriculum and lesson plans assigned by the regular teacher.
  • Follow procedures and achieve lesson goals, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Assign and explain classroom activities, promoting student engagement and participation.
  • Oversee students outside of the classroom, including in the hallways and cafeteria, maintaining a positive and respectful demeanor.
  • Comply with all school regulations and policies at all times, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Take attendance and document daily notes, ensuring accurate and timely records.
  • Ensure the classroom and work stations are kept clean and orderly, promoting a productive and efficient learning space.
  • Oversee the normal classroom rhythms and activities, maintaining a sense of calm and organization.
  • Compile a report for the teacher for when they return, providing a comprehensive and detailed account of the student's progress.

Requirements

  • Minimum experience: 3 years
  • Studies:
  • Scenario 1: Bachelor of Education, Pedagogy, Psychopedagogy.
  • Scenario 2: Bachelor's degree or engineering, along with a Master's degree in Education
  • Languages: ADVANCED ENGLISH (essential requirement)
  • Software or technological tools: MS Office, Educational Platforms, Internet, Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge: pedagogical models, learning tools, evaluation models, group management, student and parent feedback. Proven experience teaching. A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organized, flexible disposition. Outstanding interpersonal skills.
