Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Operations Specialist to oversee and optimize our operations in Monterrey, Mexico. The ideal candidate will ensure efficiency and compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal partners.
  • Execute day-to-day transportation needs.
  • Accept and build loads from our customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Understand customer/carrier rating to provide quotes to customers based on specific freight criteria properly.
  • Manage Customer Bid Boards/TMS Systems when applicable.
  • Understand customer processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain daily reporting schedule utilizing internal systems.
  • Generate and maintain up-to-date and accurate customer records and shipment documentation.
  • Process all inbound, outbound, and return shipments using TMS (Mercury Gate) software and other tools for accurate and timely delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects and cross-training in other departments.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in transportation/logistics with cross-border logistics.
  • Experience with a carrier or 3PL focusing on cross-border transportation and extensive carrier relationships is preferred.
  • Experience working in a Transportation Management System (TMS) is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • High level of organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve on the spot.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Geographical knowledge of the USA and Mexico.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
