Key Responsibilities:

We invite you to consider the opportunity to become our new Indirect Category Manager for the Americas within a developing team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, implementing, and overseeing category strategies related to designated expenditures. Your responsibilities will include creating business cases, evaluating commercial models, managing stakeholder relationships, conducting tenders, and negotiating contracts with both existing and prospective suppliers. Your focus will be on maximizing value for money while leveraging global resources and acknowledging local specifics.

We are particularly interested in sourcing managers for the following categories:

Facilities, General Services, MRO & Capex, Professional Services, IT, Travel, Fleet, Marketing, HR, and Tail Spend Management (consolidation). Each category manager will oversee two categories during this phase of our expansion.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping future supply strategies within our global organization, collaborating across cultures and influencing sourcing strategies in your designated categories. Acting as a trusted Procurement Advisor, you will engage with stakeholders throughout the organization and interact with a wide range of suppliers while staying attuned to market trends and dynamics.

The Team:

You will be part of a growing team (currently 4 members, with plans to expand to 9), based in multiple locations. You will report to the Global Head of Indirect Procurement as part of the Global Indirect Procurement team.

Core Activities:

  • Lead procurement initiatives (Scoping, RFx, Negotiation, Implementation)
  • Develop and execute category strategies
  • Manage contracts and ensure compliance with SOWs and other terms
  • Collaborate closely with key business stakeholders to secure alignment for procurement initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) within categories through targeted improvement projects
  • Conduct data-driven negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal value
  • Oversee supplier contracts and compliance
  • Execute RFPs and RFQs with professionalism, ensuring thorough evaluations and timely processes
  • Facilitate supplier consolidations while considering local nuances
  • Contribute to the development and maturation of the Indirect Procurement function
  • Identify trends in spending patterns and market developments

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for candidates with substantial experience in one or more of the aforementioned categories. You should excel at building strong professional relationships with stakeholders. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential as it is our corporate language.

Ideal candidates will have 5-10 years of experience in an indirect procurement role, preferably within a global organization, regardless of industry, or possibly in management consulting.
