Position Overview: Data Leader
We're seeking a Data Leader to establish and lead the data function for one of our affiliated companies. If building a data-centric culture from scratch excites you, continue reading.

Build Something from the Ground Up:
You'll be responsible for building the data function from scratch in this role. We already have a clean foundation (all data in a warehouse & basic views set up), but you will have complete ownership of building the data function.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Business Problem-Solving: Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Proactively seek opportunities and ask the right questions to drive business value.
  2. Advanced SQL & Data Skills: Excel in SQL, including complex joins and window functions. Clean and transform data to extract meaningful insights.
  3. Foundational Engineering Skills: Use tools like DBT to build and document reusable tables. Focus on creating scalable data solutions.
  4. Data Visualization Expertise: Leverage data visualization tools to create interactive and insightful dashboards, enabling end users to explore data effectively.
  5. Ensuring Data Integrity: Maintain high standards of data accuracy by performing rigorous checks and validating data transfers between sources.
  6. Data Engineering & Dictionary: Use tools like DBT to create tables that we can maintain and reuse, and document everything for scalability's sake.
  7. Tableau / Data Visualization: Familiarity with data visualization and how to present data in a way that end users can cut, filter, manipulate, and solve problems.
  8. Strong Data Integrity Intuition: Understand how to assess data quality and ensure proper data transfer between sources.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90, $110,000.00 per year
