Logistics Process Improvement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Process Improvement Specialist to join our team at ITH Icoserve. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for representing the interests of the Project Management on site to the customer, regulatory authorities, and consultants. Your primary focus will be on coordinating, communicating, and maintaining all dates and information from project site to ensure an accurate, on schedule, and economical processing and optimized supply regarding customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent the interests of the Project Management on site to the customer, regulatory authorities, and consultants.
  • Coordinate, communicate, and maintain all dates and information from project site to ensure an accurate, on schedule, and economical processing and optimized supply regarding customer needs.
  • Ensure information regarding disposition of goods during transport and permanently update of these information to create options for alternative actions by information of all involved parties in a timely manner.
  • Create deficiency and status reports regarding material and product availability based on the needs of the customer supply concept in order to provide an assured data and information base.
  • Document and process complaints or transport damages with responsible partners (Project Logistics Manager, Project Purchase, Insurance) to secure any recourse claims and to take further measures.
  • Act as the interface to involved external logistics providers on project site and coordinate their activities, ensuring cost-efficient and seamless operations.
  • Initiate and coordinate the erection, operation, and return of the logistic infrastructure and the equipment on the building site to guarantee a compliant, cost-efficient, and smooth construction site logistics.
  • Support the Project Logistics Manager with the development, calculation, and implementation of logistics contingency measures during short-term variances from the planned supply concept to ensure an optimized supply related to the current conditions.
  • Support the Project Logistic Manager with the concluding project evaluation and advancement of the project-specific process of customer supply to ensure high transparency over the whole supply process in the project and to gain input for the enhancement of future projects which are related to the customer supply.
  • Report to the project logistics manager and lead own supply chain personnel on project site.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of production processes in the metal/electrical industry is required.
  • Knowledge of SAP System, Python, and C-Chart or similar programming languages, includes database server and information connections between one or several applications.
  • Big data analyst.
  • Scrum process knowledge.
  • Organized, problem-solving, analytical, and focus on results.
  • Intermediate English level.
